Cherie Lee Interiors is an established Interior Design studio based in Hertfordshire. The studio specialises in renovating and enhancing period and listed country homes and town houses in London, the home counties and beyond.
The studio, a Grade II listed barn that the team renovated, is a laid back ‘at home setting’ where clients are put at ease and can experience the craftsmanship, material combinations and overall feel of a fully styled CLI property.
Services
Full property renovation to cosmetic updates, decor and furnishing.
We provide our clients with the peace of mind that the design of their home will be meticulously considered and executed from the point of our instruction, through to final installation, styling and finishing touches.
CLI can provide a full project management service on request. Our standard service includes a level of design management, including site visits to oversee installation, project progress and answer site queries.
We can provide introductions to other team consultants where required. These include architects, surveyors, and garden designers. If you are unsure about the services that you require, or whether we can assist with your requirements, do not hesitate to get in touch and discuss with one of the team.
DECOR AND FURNISHING
1. Design Concept
Following a full client briefing, we will present a Concept Design for the property, to include core design principles, material and colour palettes and visualisations.
2. Specific Room Designs
Tailored room designs addressing a number, or all, of the below categories, as selected by the client for a minimum of 5 rooms:
Full decor scheme · Flooring specification · Furniture layouts and specifying free standing furniture · Lighting layout and specifying light fittings · Bespoke joinery design · Bathroom design · Kitchen design · Soft furnishing scheme
3. Procurement
Costing, sourcing, and technical execution of client approved designs. Installation of permanent fixtures such as flooring, tiles, sanitary ware, kitchens and joinery if applicable.
4. Final Installation
Furniture and soft furnishing installation and styling service. To include sourcing ornamental accessories, art and adding final small furniture pieces where required and requested by client.
FULL RENOVATION
1. Floor Plan Development
Following a full briefing with the client, we will provide options for internal reconfiguration and floor plan development until a final layout for the property is agreed. This may be carried out by CLI independently, with a separately appointed project architect, or an architect suggested by CLI.
2. Design Concept
Normally run alongside the floor plan development, we will present a Concept Design for the property, to include core design principles, material and colour palettes and visualisations.
3. Specific Room Designs
Once layouts and concepts are approved, top to toe room designs can commence. Addressing all elements from ceiling mouldings and panelling, fire installations, lighting, bespoke joinery, free standing furniture and full bathroom and kitchen designs.
4. Procurement
Costing, sourcing, and technical execution of client approved designs. Installation of permanent fixtures such as flooring, tiles, sanitary ware, kitchens and joinery.
5. Final Installation
A full furniture and soft furnishing installation and styling service. To include sourcing ornamental accessories, art and adding final small furniture items where required.

We are not limited by a strict, in house, design style or formula. We embrace the challenge of developing new ideas for every client and ensuring that each property designed feels unique and special to the people that occupy it.
Subtle themes of natural, earthy materials and texture are always present in a CLI home, but within a varied backdrop of colour, function, form and the context of the property itself.
To allow the time required to develop honest and authentic design partnerships with our client’s, we take on only a small number of projects per year.

The CLI team consists of a small number of close knit and highly skilled members. The team cohesively works across all projects together to achieve the very best in creativity, technical design and seamless delivery.
The CLI team prides itself on providing clients with a relaxed and informal environment in which they can voice their desires and hopes for their home and be met with passion and enthusiasm.
Cherie Lee heads the team at CLI, taking creative lead on all projects. She works closely with her team of designers and project managers who ensure the smooth implementation and delivery of stunning homes.
A former Lawyer, mother of two boys, and founder of the thriving CLI design Studio, Cherie understands the demands and busy lifestyles of her clients.
She brings a unique combination of creativity and style, a logical approach and tireless energy and commitment to every project.

Katie is the longest standing member of the CLI team with an extensive background in buying and procurement.
She has a complete knowledge of the design process and an exceptional attention to detail that results in projects being delivered to the highest standards.
She is an accomplished project manager with a firm understanding of site timelines and milestones.

Tabitha is creative with a common-sense approach to function and practicality, providing clients with designs that are well thought through and visually beautiful. Her background is in high end fashion, working with the likes of Amanda Wakely, and this has provided her with a reassuring confidence when handling high quality fabrics and materials. Warm natured, Tabitha sets clients at ease from early on in the design process.

Victoria assists the CLI team in a wide range of project related matters. As well as the running of the studio, she is a fantastic multitasker with the ability to quickly adapt to a varied workload.
Exceptionally organised with a welcoming demeanour Victoria is studio’s natural ``go-to`` person.

There is a large car park onsite and taxi ranks at all local stations.
